Attention all taxpayers and employers! SARS has recently addressed technical issues affecting the Employer e@syFile system, which led to non-compliant status for many Employers due to missing Third-Party (AA88) appointments and default notices. To remedy the situation, fixes have been applied to the system, and SARS will only follow up on Employer non-compliances arising from 1 July 2023. If you received an AA88 notice before 1 May 2023 and haven’t acted on it, no worries, as it has been automatically cancelled.
