“Krycom is a financial and professional services firm that specialises in providing technical support and training for SARS eFiling and SARS e@syFile, two popular digital platforms used for tax submissions and payments in South Africa.
I started Krycom in September 2012, after working for various companies in the financial sector, including Investec Bank and MyTax, where I sold SARS eFiling and SARS e@syFile services.
I’ve been involved with these platforms since their inception and developed a passion for their technical aspects over the years. I saw an opportunity to offer specialised support to users who might be struggling with technical issues or require training and decided to start my own business to provide these services.”
Anton’s experience and qualifications in this field
“I often joke that I studied at the “Varsity of Life” and the “School of Hard Knocks,” but it’s true that most of my experience comes from my years of working with SARS eFiling and SARS e@syFile.
I’ve been there since the beginning, marketing the product via training sessions, and later, shifting my focus to technical support. I also worked as a property valuer at Investec Bank for six years, where my interest in IT and technical aspects began.
I was very involved in the process of going from paper valuations to electronic formats. I’m also contracted to the South African Institute of Tax Professionals (SAIT) as their SARS eFiling and SARS e@syFile Technical Specialist, a role I’ve been in for more than six years.”

Our clients are anyone who uses these platforms and has a technical issue or requires training. This includes individuals, small businesses, and large corporations.”
Can you tell us about a specific challenge that you’ve helped a client solve recently?
“One of our clients was having issues with their SARS eFiling account, and they couldn’t submit their tax returns on time.
They contacted us, and we were able to troubleshoot the issue and solve it within a few hours. We also provided them with advice on how to prevent similar issues in the future.”
