You have until 23 November 2021 to file your tax return, accept, or edit your auto-assessed return.

If you feel that SARS owes you a refund on the tax you paid during the year, or you did not receive the appropriate tax deduction on, for example, a contribution to a retirement fund, or on a travel allowance that was taxed incorrectly, you must not accept the auto-assessed return and go through the normal assessment process.

If you don’t, you could well miss out on a tax refund that is due to you.

Also – don’t submit late as you could be in for penalties if you do!
